Biography of Tanner Mizelle.

Bio

My name is Tanner Mizelle. Those who know me know that I am a huge advocate for innovation in animation, videography, and games. Over the course of my life, these things have become more than just a hobby, or a career: they have become a part of my identity.

At age 10, my friend started creating comic books. I wanted to be like him and rival his creativity, so I started drawing. I took the opportunities that academia could provide to make me a better artist, and through my education, I found my life’s purpose: to do all that I could to make small companies, organizations, and artists make it big.

From Flipnote Studio on the DSi to Adobe Creative Cloud across Mac and PC, I studied countless creative tools to not only create and distribute my own art, but to assist others when the need arose.

This would lead me to becoming the Media Captain for my high school robotics team, where I would provide promotional material and merchandise design for most of my high school experience.

Going off to college, Appalachian State University’s Electronic Media & Broadcasting program quickly became my home, where I produced television programming at AppTV for the shows “Hi Neighbor!” and “Pixel Peak.” My interest in more traditional art would also lead me to become Feature Editor of The Peel, a literature and arts magazine that highlights student artists.

I started working remotely on various video game, animation, and live-streaming projects after graduating college and during the COVID-19 pandemic before being picked up by Mission Magazine to be their remote Audio/Visual Editor. I took this rare opportunity move to the Pacific Northwest in mid-2021, and have since kickstarted my career in live event organization, planning, and operation in the Seattle Metro.

Over the course of my career, I strive to continue my life’s purpose of lifting up the underdog. I hope to one day cement myself in the greater Seattle area as a passionate video and design specialist, and combine that skillset with my branding instinct to strengthen both company and individual identities across the globe.
